Ok so Witch Hunter as we know now, is primarily about Tasha getting Aria back from witch territory specifically Varette. However now we know there is several plot sub-divisions.
Plot point 1: Tasha saving Aria his sister. Initially, Tasha was attempting to get back Aria from the hands of Varette whose her currently teacher and an ally of North.
Plot point 2: Bairong in Chaos. Bairong Empire is in chaos due to the trio of brothers having to have someone take over the empire and be the next White Dragon user, unfortunately all power comes with a cost as multiple times it was stated it reduces life span -- i.e. Yue when possess by the 5,000 previous ancestors.
Plot point 2.5: Xing avenging Yue. At the same time, Xing blames Lee for his betrayal (of all the damage done/balance of earlier lifehood like the fact that the trio brothers all got along together peacefully, Eun Sul-Hwa's death and the fact that Lee was a supporter for another witch under South -- the most crazy of the four Witches). Lee is now currently the strongest of the previously 3, now 2 brothers. Context: that plot point was a previous one back when the brother trio got along in early screen time (Chapter 18 to start that story).
Plot point 3: North's revival of Edea Florence/West. Apparently, Varette states that between the four witches, minus West being dead, there is a revenge resurrection happening that North wants to accomplish by bringing back the "greatest of all time" witch; West. Currently, the author hasn't given proof if Edea Florence is West but it was guessed as an alter-ego, nothing more. (Chapter 150 to 190 for Edea's history)
Plot point 4: Britain's previous King Modred. After Merlin appears, he states that Modred is the true king of their country and demands Tasha to give up Halloween in-exchange for 1 month training, Tasha refuses but goes to Tania to explain his case, he is allowed to take part in the Witch Operation to take them all out. However there is some of the members involve seem to have other interests going on. Case in point: Lancelot is working with South alongside Lee and is a supporter of another Witch under South too so it sounds like his interests line up with Merlin's but not one in the same. (start at Chapter 73 for clarification on that story point, Chapter 49 for Merlin's appearance)
Plot point 5: East's Revenge. East wants revenge for the death of her sorella -- the non-witch hat mana tool. Even though she was killed at the hands of South's violent ability and North's containment as a result East's power did decrease but not enough that the story highlights this point. (Chapter 84 for information on North's plan as discussed by East when South and Peony stopped by.)
Ryuhwan The Black Class. Ryuhwan as stated by the author is a rival to Tasha and the Black Class of WH. However he's working with East who knows information about West -- the master of Ryuhwan. He is currently trying to figure out whether or not Neptis's words about West's revival is legitimate.
Alright let's get down to whose all of the traitors in these plot points so it's clear.
Lancelot, works with a witch under South but not much other info is stated besides pointing out he wants his king back.
Eunryu, the previous life saver of Viyungrang, working with North, takes orders from Varette and Neptis (this one mainly). Traitor of WH like both Wordz and Samuel, reasons for that are unknown.
Viyungrang, care taker of Tasha Godspell, spirit shaman, currently working with Neptis who works with North so.. ergo, he works for North. Even though his status as WH was inactive since his fight with East and Sutri. But what is true is that both Eunryu, Wordz, Samuel and Viyungrang work for North while Eunyru and Viyungrang take orders from Neptis. (Chapter 225)
Lee Bairong, seems to not care much about Bairong politics ore affairs after killing Yue and reminding Visul of that fact (with other witches in present and a loyal servant witch under his command), works for South like Lancelot. (Chapter 57 to 72)
Wordz Blondy von Worth, who also took Cooga/Kuga with him in the recent chapters (226-227) is a traitor of WH based on the interactions with Eunryu and Merlin. (refer to Chapter 80 as it mentions that Varette's is drinking a wine that Wordz likes -- thanks to Eunryu being in the room)
Merlin, despite stating that Modred has returned ala Britain's King appears not only want the remaining Witches (East, North and South) to be dead but the WH as well. It is odd that Merlin is involved in this portion where Wordz and Eunryu are together in the Western Central of WH. Dunno why that is. (Chapter 227)
Samuel, the one responsibly for alternating Diana's memories. Works with North and a traitor to WH as alongside Wordz and Eunryu, they have been up to something.
Phew, I feel this was easy enough to understand, I mean everyone usually complains about manga plots being convoluted but it's simple:
The traitors are all made apparent earlier on or mid-way through the 50 to 100 chapters. The most relevant of the bunch would be Merlin who just wants both WH and Witches all versions to be destroyed while getting their king aka Modred aka Halloween to restore their kingdom of Britain. However necessary but the ones like Merlin and the members of the round table like Gawain and Kay do not have evidence that killing Tasha would be an advantage or disadvantage to get their kind Modred back. They do not seem to care about humanity in general, just Britain that's it.
Others who see the Witches as supporters or as allies as an advantage "stepping stone" for more power, like the case with Lee Bairong.
Or Wordz who took Cooga/Kuga along despite being clueless, they have a goal alongside Eunryu who also has a goal as well.
Separately, Viyungrang who is working with Neptis came out of no where so we don't know why he's also working with North as well (Maybe to bring back Edea Florence?)
Opinions: Overall it's interesting but I am curious as to what Merlin, Wordz and Eunryu are going to do in the Western Central of WH? That's been on my mind.
Additionally, I am curious if Edea Florence is an alter ego of West or was her to begin with and was using magic of another caliber those "innate ones" mentioned when Tania and Choha exchanged words with Neptis made me think about that one.
I think my last thing on the list would be a proper Visul versus Ameton rematch assuming that we get to see more on-screen pages longer than 1/3rd panels. If something was missed, I can edit that.
